Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SvE United's Tzvetoslav Desov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 8th minute of play. Tzvetoslav Desov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tzvetoslav Desov having to interfere. In the 15th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tzvetoslav Desov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tzvetoslav Desov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 19th minute. Jonny Kleen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, SvE United's Jonny Kleen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 30th minute of play forced SvE United's goalkeeper Tzvetoslav Desov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tzvetoslav Desov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Spiro Mutashki. After a rather tough play, SvE United's Horymír Adámek got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitko Kozlov to make the kick off. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tzvetoslav Desov firmly grabbed it by the left post. SvE United's Tzvetoslav Desov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save SvE United from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, SvE United's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Tzvetoslav Desov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SvE United booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Alaba's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Alaba helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SvE United! Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jonny Kleen scored 2-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the game, Spiro Mutashki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hristo Stoichkov in the 76th minute of play. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonny Kleen in the 90th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, SvE United's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Tzvetoslav Desov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 97th minute of the match, Wim Wilmes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tzvetoslav Desov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The SvE United players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
