In the 5th minute Вежен were awarded a corner. Martyn Efremov went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Martyn Efremov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim did a great save. Oscar Havier might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Havier ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oscar Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Havier in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 16th minute of play forced Вежен's goalkeeper Van Halen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Van Halen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 20th minute of the match. Van Halen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Christiaan Enskens threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Bruno Bastos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A sloppy throw-in by Bruno Bastos in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Вежен's Christiaan Enskens. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Oscar Havier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Felipe Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Van Halen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 34 minutes into the game, Daniel Pimentel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Вежен's Gökçek Teksen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Van Halen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 38th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Вежен's Wilson Amorim threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oscar Havier, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Van Halen. Вежен's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Hermínio Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. Van Halen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 66th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match Felipe Barreto climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-3 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Van Halen. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. After 77 minutes of play, Вежен's Oscar Havier made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Havier came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Van Halen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 84th minute. Van Halen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 85th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Вежен's Oscar Havier. But to his dismay, Oscar Havier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Havier in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Oscar Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartolomeu Dias scored 4-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Van Halen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
