Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute, Montechiarugolo AFC's Anfilogino Preda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 11th minute, Anfilogino Preda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montechiarugolo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Pär Are was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pär Are tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pär Are breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Montechiarugolo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Pär Are reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montechiarugolo AFC.
