In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chimborazo A.F.C's goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Bruce Willis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Balazs Lajos came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balazs Lajos couldn't finish the play. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremias Ledesma having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, Chimborazo A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Jeremias Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Claudiu Niculescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chimborazo A.F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Florentino Nabar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Ledesma having to interfere. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jeremias Ledesma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. 26 minutes into the match, Chimborazo A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Jeremias Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Claudiu Niculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chimborazo A.F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudiu Niculescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Chimborazo A.F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Hegedus Henrik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeremias Ledesma quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Chimborazo A.F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Takacs Tibor managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 39 played minutes Chimborazo A.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Babu Butcher. Jeremias Ledesma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jeremias Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hegedus Henrik hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. Claudiu Niculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chimborazo A.F.C's zone, Balazs Lajos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Ledesma came out of the goal and Balazs Lajos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Antal Valentin took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jeremias Ledesma to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice moves Balazs Lajos could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Jeremias Ledesma however easily saved by the left post. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Bizi in the 68th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Jeremias Ledesma in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jeremias Ledesma was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Bizi in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Ernesto Pacifico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chimborazo A.F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Pacifico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Ledesma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo A.F.C's Claudiu Niculescu got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chimborazo A.F.C's Jeremias Ledesma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Hungary booed when Chimborazo A.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Pacifico didn't get a good kick on the ball.
