Balders Hage IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Switzerland the free kick. When Jacinto Maurer came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Switzerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Maurer couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Balders Hage IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hjalmar Helström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jacinto Maurer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Switzerland's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Maurer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Fredriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timo Siegmund kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The supporters of Switzerland booed when Balders Hage IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sigvard Brask in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo von Känel hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Ove Lundgren hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Sigvard Brask received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuele Kunz in the 66th minute of play forced Balders Hage IF's goalkeeper Eric Fredriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hias Nüssli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Brask, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Sigvard Brask received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Timo Siegmund.
