Victor Arseanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Otto Hamberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otto Hamberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Flavius Mahonea managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavius Mahonea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Brask breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, John Överman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manole Tăcutu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mattias Eliasson in the 24th minute. Ingmar Brask showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Arseanu in the 26th minute of the match. Manole Tăcutu was a little too slow when Mattias Eliasson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience was convinced that Cezar Encioiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingmar Brask was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Ingmar Brask made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavius Mahonea in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattias Eliasson was the one to do the kick off. Ingmar Brask took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Arseanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AIF's Ingmar Brask proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save AIF from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes into the match, Victor Arseanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ingmar Brask. AIF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Arseanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Bengt-Arne Stabbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manole Tăcutu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Eliasson in the 63rd minute of the match. If Victor Arseanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, AIF's Ingmar Brask got control of the ball when Cezar Encioiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Arseanus short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Ingmar Brask to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 73 minutes into the match, AIF's goalkeeper Ingmar Brask had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Arseanu. In the 75th minute Otto Hamberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Tăcutu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Bengt-Arne Stabbe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manole Tăcutu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. AIF's Ingmar Brask proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save AIF from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 90 in the game by Cezar Encioiu from a close distance when the talented Ingmar Brask managed to make a qualified save. AIF's players were relieved. With his leg Ingmar Brask managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Victor Arseanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AIF had won after a very even match.
