Gert Kjellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidro Cuarto kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Gert Kjellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Otto Hamberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. AIF's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Hamberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Berdoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Conrado Abajas sped through AIF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of William Fogel. Halcones Azules's Vicente Berdoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Halcones Azules from getting a goal against them. After 57 played minutes Halcones Azules got a freekick which was hit by Armando Monico. When Gert Kjellbom came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the AIF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Kjellbom couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Armando Monico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Kjellkvist's shot from long distance in the 64th minute was not bad at all, but Halcones Azules's Vicente Berdoi knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Isidro Cuarto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
