The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Laurens Roelfs in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ni Jun Tian was slow to take the kick. During this time Nenger de Penger FC's players had a chance to rest. Ni Jun Tian made a great header on Nenger de Penger FC's corner, it was just that Netherlands's Arnout Reekers managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 62nd minute, Lars Meesters left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Ni Jun Tian took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 90th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurens Roelfs was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. In the 94th minute Florian Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitrie Fikkers in the 99th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
