Qiao Lei Quan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Qiao Lei Quan during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Qiao Lei Quan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Qiao Lei Quan sent off a good shot on target. After 14 minutes of play Girondins4Ever's Qiao Lei Quan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Girondins4Ever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qiao Lei Quan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hakim Gaulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play forced Girondins4Ever's goalkeeper Angelo Melani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Colle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Melani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Angelo Melani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Melani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Girondins4Ever's Angelo Melani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 52nd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Girondins4Ever's Angelo Melani. Angelo Melani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Angelo Melani made a huge save. Angelo Melani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Girondins4Ever's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Angelo Melani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Melani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 92nd minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kees Mooiweer made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Girondins4Ever's Hakim Gaulin. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
