When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Herberto Caiado put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. 15 minutes into the game, Herberto Caiado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germany's Janik Vogt quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Patrício Vasconcelos, made in the 19th minute of the game. In the 21st minute of the match Germany got a corner. Lima Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. Patrício Vasconcelos tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Francisco Infante. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herberto Caiado got free with Tommy Kahn in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manfred Schonath went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herberto Caiado in the 33rd minute of the match. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Herberto Caiado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Herberto Caiado really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. Lima Team's Francisco Infante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 38th minute of play. Francisco Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 42nd minute of the match. Herberto Caiado took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. In the 47th minute of the match, Herberto Caiado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herberto Caiado made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 50th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacob Barroso went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. Willy Stieler hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Caiado in the 57th minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Germany's Frank Sachs made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Infante was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Lima Team's Herberto Caiado. But to his dismay, Herberto Caiado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. In the 70thth minute of the game Herberto Caiado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herberto Caiado in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Patrício Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lima Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herberto Caiado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Francisco Infante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Nuno Aragão scored 9-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Caiado in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Nuno Aragão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lima Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Aragão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute Herberto Caiado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Germany's Malte Schiele got a free kick in the 93rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lima Team fully deserved thier win.
