The crowd rose to their feet as Teofilo Unai kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fodor Daniel. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zeca Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Vörös Henrik came free, but Zeca Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Santos having to interfere. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeca Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antal Valentin's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Pernambucano in the 43rd minute of the match. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Mikolas's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Mikolas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Luis Mikolas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Erivaldo Pernambucano charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erivaldo Pernambucano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remo Carvalho hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A hard shot 63 in the game by Antal Valentin from a close distance when the talented Zeca Santos managed to make a qualified save. Wellington Phoenix's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Major Barna took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Zeca Santos to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teofilo Unai in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Anderson Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wellington Phoenix's Zeca Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 73rd minute of play. Balazs Lajos made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 80thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Zeca Santos would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Zeca Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 84th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Hungary's Major Barna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Gabriel Magalhães hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Boros Benedek kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaume Roure in the 93rd minute of play. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
