In the 16th minute David Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jackson Dumora was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 27th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jackson Dumora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Frank Sachs in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jackson Dumora, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the game, David Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 59 played minutes Real Madrid FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Magalhães. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlhami Tor in the 60th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Germany booed when Real Madrid FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachariasz Juchno didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fryderyk Kajdasz came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Real Madrid FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fryderyk Kajdasz couldn't finish the play. Afonsinho Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid FC. 67 minutes into the match, David Quintal notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jackson Dumora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Marcos Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madrid FC's protests and gave Marcos Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Real Madrid FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Magalhães. 81 minutes into the match, Real Madrid FC's goalkeeper Jackson Dumora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Quintal's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Júlio Furlan hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Zachariasz Juchno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Madrid FC.
