Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ceylon FC's Duncan Scotland started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norman Barrie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 4th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Patrik Terzic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Croatia's Martin Bosak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norman Barrie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Scotland in the 13th minute of play. Norman Barrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damir Pongrac, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Scotland in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Croatia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Duncan Scotland was slow to take the kick. During this time Ceylon FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ceylon FC's corner Duncan Scotland fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ilija Skugor quite easily take care of the ball. Gregor Ayson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norman Barrie came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Croatia's Dinko Stankovic. But to his dismay, Dinko Stankovic quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Scotland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron McPhedran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ilija Skugor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Ceylon FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Reece McGruder hit a great ball. Norman Barrie came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Croatia's Martin Bosak. But to his dismay, Martin Bosak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Ceylon FC's Samuel McCaskill got a free kick in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Scotland in the 41st minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Ceylon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damir Pongrac came free, but Norman Barrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norman Barrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Mauzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After taking down the ball on Croatia's corner Toni Mauzer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Norman Barrie quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Eduard Kostelac sped through Ceylon FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Norman Barrie. After the first half Croatia were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

54 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron McPhedran came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Croatia booed when Ceylon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel McCaskill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron McPhedran, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Ceylon FC's goalkeeper Norman Barrie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Mauzer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damir Pongrac in the 70th minute of play forced Ceylon FC's goalkeeper Norman Barrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron McPhedran spun around in front of the goal 76 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Croatia's goal. Norman Barrie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 80th minute of the match. Norman Barrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damir Pongrac in the 86th minute of play. If Toni Mauzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Bosak charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Bosak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Martin Bosak. In the 91st minute of the match Max McIvor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilija Skugor skillfully saved the ball. Liam Docherty kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duncan Scotland in the 96th minute of play. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duncan Scotland, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Croatia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Croatia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
