Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Gergely Balázs. But to his dismay, Gergely Balázs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Petruț Dicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 9th minute of play. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gergely Balázs in the 12 minute of the game. Petruț Dicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Exército Português's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Soveral came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gergely Balázs came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnout Reekers could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gergely Balázs got free with Arnout Reekers in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gergely Balázs in the 30th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wim Wilmes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Exército Português booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Gois in the 44th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 刘洋朗 in the 53rd minute of play. Petruț Dicu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lars Meesters showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Gois in the 61st minute of play. Exército Português's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severino Madruga in the 62nd minute. After taking down the ball on Exército Português's corner Severino Madruga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. In the 65th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petruț Dicu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 69th minute Bruno Soveral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Lars Meesters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Exército Português's Petruț Dicu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Meesters in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petruț Dicu saved Exército Português from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by 刘洋朗 in the 75th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gergely Balázs in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Madruga in the 88th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petruț Dicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaaf Groeneveldt to maneuver through the defense.
