Sandro Galishoff started the match with the kick off. Miroslaw Gejda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Nalder in the 3rd minute of play. Legia Warszawa 【L】's attentive Zygmunt Kluczyk managed to snatch the ball when Nico Waismann made a throw-in in the 6th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emil Seidler during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Seidler to maneuver through the defense. Miroslaw Gejda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabio Schneider went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A sloppy throw-in by Nico Waismann in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Legia Warszawa 【L】's Hugon Prusek. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Nico Waismann with Jonas Nalder as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 31stth minute of the game Fabio Schneider who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legia Warszawa 【L】's Miroslaw Gejda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With 37 minutes on the clock, Lech Cwynar commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 37th match minute, Legia Warszawa 【L】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lech Cwynar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Legia Warszawa 【L】 booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Schneider didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Schneider in the 42nd minute of play forced Legia Warszawa 【L】's goalkeeper Miroslaw Gejda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Legia Warszawa 【L】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walery Koczara to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Austria's Sandro Galishoff tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jonas Nalder struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Miroslaw Gejda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. After the first half Austria were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Miroslaw Gejda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute Leonhard Maier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Gejda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonhard Maier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Seidler made in the 58th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Leonhard Maier however managed to control. Nico Waismann hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Marc Kronecker in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Legia Warszawa 【L】's Hugon Prusek. 69 minutes in the game Emil Seidler did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Sandro Galishoff. Emil Seidler made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Legia Warszawa 【L】's Zygmunt Bugajski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marvin Harrer got free with Miroslaw Gejda in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Schneider received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miroslaw Gejda came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabio Schneider slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 76th minute. Emil Seidler made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fabio Schneider immediately put the ball in play. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Miroslaw Gejda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Schneider in the 84th minute of play. Miroslaw Gejda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonhard Maier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miroslaw Gejda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Schneider in the 87th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Austria's Leonhard Maier in action when he in the 91st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Konrad Dunajski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Austria's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
