The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Hising Island FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrzej Czech. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Wiktor Arenstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nicolae Creangă came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Keld Paulsen could save by the left post. In the 15th minute, Denmark's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nicolae Creangă fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Arenstedt in the 18th minute of the match. When Lars Steen fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Lars Steen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hising Island FC booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Lars Steen. Andrzej Czech hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Wiktor Arenstedt was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Hising Island FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 27 minutes into the match, Wiktor Arenstedt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Keld Paulsen, 1-0. Andrzej Czech charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrzej Czech the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hising Island FC's Andrzej Czech got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hising Island FC's Mané Netto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolae Creangă to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Mikkel Wulff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denmark's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hising Island FC the free kick. Chris Nygaard succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 55th playminute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mané Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Olsmann in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Arenstedt in the 74th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Chris Nygaard. In the 85th minute Ziemowit Oborski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiktor Arenstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Denmark would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
