The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucjan Zbytniewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borys Biegun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucjan Zbytniewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Nadodrze Wrocław's goal looked a bit too open when David Eikelkamp came free, but Lucjan Zbytniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Nadodrze Wrocław defense, David Eikelkamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucjan Zbytniewski. The Nadodrze Wrocław fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucjan Zbytniewski should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute of the game Kees Mooiweer made a throw-in which Gijsbert ter Kruimer played forward. After 22 minutes of play, Nadodrze Wrocław's Borys Biegun made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, Nadodrze Wrocław's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Lucjan Zbytniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 33rd minute of play forced Nadodrze Wrocław's goalkeeper Lucjan Zbytniewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Borys Biegun sent off a good shot on target. Kees Mooiweer got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lars Meesters. Lucjan Zbytniewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lucjan Zbytniewski quite easily take care of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Borys Biegun. Nadodrze Wrocław's Lucjan Zbytniewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 45th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucjan Zbytniewski. Lucjan Zbytniewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Kees Mooiweer. 56 minutes into the match, Nadodrze Wrocław's Borys Biegun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borys Biegun in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nadodrze Wrocław's Melchor Weterio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Nadodrze Wrocław was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Jesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nadodrze Wrocław. Kees Mooiweer hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Lucjan Zbytniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 70th minute of the match. Borys Biegun kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Nadodrze Wrocław's Hugon Podowski was substituted for Borys Biegun. Nadodrze Wrocław's Lucjan Zbytniewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Nadodrze Wrocław from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Nadodrze Wrocław booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucjan Zbytniewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 79th minute of play. Hugon Podowski got in the 87th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Arnout Reekers handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Lucjan Zbytniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 90th minute of the match. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
