Rio Mata ran over to the corner to take the kick. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lipovljani's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Tonko Urban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sigfrido Auletta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lipovljani made a substitution. Domagoj Grković replaced Marijan Ojdanić. Lipovljani's Tobias Galeno was substituted for Rio Mata. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Tihomir Antić kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's goalkeeper Jânio Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sigfrido Auletta. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Domagoj Grković put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Flavio Vittori. Jânio Branco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sigfrido Auletta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 84 minute of play. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Curto got free with Jânio Branco in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Italy's Adriano Curto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jânio Branco. That made the score 2-4 after 96 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lipovljani.
