Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Kyle Cox made the kick off and thus started the match. When Kyle Cox came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the England fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyle Cox couldn't finish the play. England's Kyle Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Diederik Van Mechelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andries Van Mechelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 9th minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Andries Van Mechelen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyle Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Andries Van Mechelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khalid Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Paul-Louis Van Mechelen sent off a good shot on target. Quinn Holmes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The supporters of YR Mechelen booed when England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seth Young didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kyle Cox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andries Van Mechelen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuur Candries in the 26th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurice Van Mechelen's late challenge caught a England's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurice Van Mechelen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Maurice Van Mechelen hit a great ball. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andries Van Mechelen having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andries Van Mechelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andries Van Mechelen having to interfere. When Diederik Van Mechelen fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Diederik Van Mechelen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Diederik Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 37th minute. Eddie Willis's late challenge caught a YR Mechelen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eddie Willis helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Willis. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Adolphe De Maerschalckx hit a great ball. Maurice Van Mechelen was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 43rd minute, one of YR Mechelen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for YR Mechelen. Andries Van Mechelen had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Micah Macdonald's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Kyle Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Cox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul-Louis Van Mechelen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Kyle Cox came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the England fans jumped to their feet. After 53 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Adolphe De Maerschalckx. In the 59th minute, Micah Macdonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Quinn Holmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andries Van Mechelen saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. England were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after YR Mechelen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Micah Macdonald took the corner. England's Micah Macdonald was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andries Van Mechelen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd minute, Diederik Van Mechelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
