Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Nicolas Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 10th minute of play. Nicolas Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 16th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Robinho de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Robinho de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Cipriano Baeza made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Baeza to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Oséas Palmeira in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Lars Steen. In the 60th play minute Chris Nygaard came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nicolas Bastos. 0-1. Nicolas Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 63rd minute of the match. Marquinhos da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bertram Svenningsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Edmundo Cardoso made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Caco Abreu. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's goalkeeper Nicolas Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicolas Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Nygaard got free with Nicolas Bastos in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Guilherme Reis lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Denmark:s goal. When the match had been going on for 91 minutes, Denmark's Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nicolas Bastos. Robinho de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's goalie prevented a goal. Denmark's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
