Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willie Colon in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa Hamit Özercan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute Halcones Azules were awarded a corner. Eliseo Lore went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willie Colon got free with Mustafa Hamit Özercan in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Willie Colon put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mustafa Hamit Özercan. After having played for 21 minutes, Willie Colon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Municipal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willie Colon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlético Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Willie Colon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Hamit Özercan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Cordero Gipils replaced Azubeli Roman. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willie Colon was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Halcones Azules's Marcial Frederico got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Claude Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, Volli Toomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute of the match Claude Sena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mustafa Hamit Özercan skillfully saved the ball. If Willie Colon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 79 minutes Halcones Azules's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claude Sena who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Andoni Viguri managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
