Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes Newcastle United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Thomas Vollmar scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pankracy Malicki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Newcastle United defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikolaj Jerzyk. The Newcastle United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikolaj Jerzyk should have stopped the shot. Pankracy Malicki scored 2-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Pacholewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 26th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Newcastle United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Olgierd Wojtowicz hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 30th minute of play. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Thomas Vollmar made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Hegedus Henrik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Hegedus Henrik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikolaj Jerzyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Benedykt Gdaniec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Olgierd Wojtowicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newcastle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. The supporters of Hungary booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Wojtowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. When Pankracy Malicki came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Newcastle United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pankracy Malicki couldn't finish the play. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Newcastle United from getting a goal against them. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to make a save. The supporters of Newcastle United booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boros Benedek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Mikolaj Jerzyk made a huge save. Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikolaj Jerzyk. Mikolaj Jerzyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 89th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Newcastle United could leave the field as winners, despite Hungary having more of the ball for most of the match.
