Dieguinho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Ununger in the 39th minute of play. Patrick Armstrong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 顾寒森, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Adrian Våleman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 45 minutes of play, São Salvador's 顾寒森 made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Armstrong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 顾寒森 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
