With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Cuesta having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was the one to do the kick off. Milosz Majczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. 66 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willian Cuesta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in the 68th minute of play. ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's Willian Cuesta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save ARES FC DeusDeFutbol from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the match, ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's goalkeeper Willian Cuesta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. In the 73rd minute of the match Belgium got a corner. ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
