David Eikelkamp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Di Xing Yu having to make a save. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Enström, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Di Xing Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Vänge IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yudi Alphonse to maneuver through the defense.

Vänge IF's Raşit Timuroz was substituted for Schorsch Schmalzbauer. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Dan Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Vänge IF's Di Xing Yu got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Juan Lebron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vänge IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. A collision led to Vänge IF getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Juan Lebron hit a great ball. Di Xing Yu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Di Xing Yu threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raşit Timuroz in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raşit Timuroz in the 77th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvard Enström in the 81st minute of play. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Di Xing Yu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 85th minute of the match. Vänge IF's Di Xing Yu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Vänge IF from getting a goal against them. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
