Cazimir Marincean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marvin Harrer in the 32nd minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, FC POLI TIMISOARA's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Schneider came free, but Cazimir Marincean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonhard Maier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Albert Stelea charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Cazimir Marincean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Schneider in the 93rd minute. When Irinel Breazu fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC POLI TIMISOARA's protests and gave Irinel Breazu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC POLI TIMISOARA getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Irinel Breazu hit a great ball. When the match was over Austria could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC POLI TIMISOARA throughout the match.
