Wim Wilmes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. Edgard Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 77th minute. Blanka FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored to the left of an out of position Edgard Alcântara, making the score, 0-13. Lars Meesters received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Alcântara came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars Meesters slotted it home off the left post making it 0-14 in the 86th minute. Edgard Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bas Tuitert in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Edgard Alcântara in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
