Atilla Açıkalın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Atilla Açıkalın scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Tahsin Polatalp to maneuver through the defense. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batıkan Muhsin having to interfere. Batıkan Muhsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Bokelund. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilla Açıkalın in the 46th minute.

In the 54th minute Atilla Açıkalın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Açıkalın, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute.
