Noia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Joãozinho Pernambucano scored to the left of an out of position Hermínio Barros, making the score, 1-0. After 8 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Arruda. After 9 played minutes Noia got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Netto. Hermínio Barros was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from José Carlos Peres. Hermínio Barros made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Joãozinho Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Noia defense, Joãozinho Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermínio Barros. The Noia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermínio Barros should have stopped the shot. Hermínio Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joãozinho Pernambucano in the 26th minute. Noia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joãozinho Pernambucano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 43 minutes into the game, Joãozinho Pernambucano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hermínio Barros. Joãozinho Pernambucano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Hermínio Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicola Zalewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joãozinho Pernambucano to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Noia's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Rossi came free, but Hermínio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Nicola Zalewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermínio Barros. Noia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicola Zalewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Franklin Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hermínio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Joãozinho Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Noia's Hermínio Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Noia's goal looked a bit too open when Nicola Zalewski came free, but Hermínio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermínio Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicola Zalewski went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Noia defense, Joãozinho Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermínio Barros. The Noia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermínio Barros should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute Nicola Zalewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes, CE LAJEADENSE RS's José Carlos Peres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hermínio Barros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CE LAJEADENSE RS reached it. 74 minutes into the game, Dário Saldanha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. After 74 played minutes Noia got a freekick which was hit by Dário Saldanha. Hermínio Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Loureiro in the 76th minute of play. Franklin Loureiro scored 9-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hermínio Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Franklin Loureiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Franklin Loureiro shot a long shot in the 86th minute and a light blocked Hermínio Barros hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 11-0. 90 minutes into the match, Flaco López had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermínio Barros. Noia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flaco López was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. 94 minutes into the game, Flaco López cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Hermínio Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the CE LAJEADENSE RS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
