The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Mauro Prata got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Percival Baptista. A collision led to Hartmann Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Leonardo Luz hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gugu Coutinho during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Hartmann Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Coutinho. In the 22nd minute, Joel Rosado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Percival Baptista. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of Figueira SC FSCMZ booed when Hartmann Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 minutes, Wilian Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hartmann Futebol Clube and the Figueira SC FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wilian Corrêa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Leonardo Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 played minutes Hartmann Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio de Queiroz. Marcelinho Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Percival Baptista made a huge save. Joel Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 46 played minutes Hartmann Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio de Queiroz. 47 minutes into the match, Hartmann Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Pinheiro came free, but Percival Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelinho Dias to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Samuca Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Percival Baptista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Percival Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Pinheiro in the 53rd minute of play. Marcelo Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Coutinho in the 55th minute. A collision led to Hartmann Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gugu Coutinho hit a great ball. Marcelo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute Joel Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuca Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Baptista having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Marcelo Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilian Corrêa. 94 minutes into the match, Simão Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Baptista. Hartmann Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Figueira SC FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
