Charles Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Novaes in the 21st minute of the match. ITAFUT 4EVER's José Augusto Novaes managed to work through Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. José Augusto Novaes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Daniel França hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Charles Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Augusto Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Augusto Novaes in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Sarmento saved Rondinone F.C - FDFDF from getting behind. If Adalberto Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute of the match, Falcão Marques tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jardel Fernandez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eliézer Leão hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Cléber Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ITAFUT 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléber Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute José Augusto Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Novaes in the 39th minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Charles Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes ITAFUT 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Novaes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil dos Santos made a kick off. José Augusto Novaes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless.
