Alan de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Club Sacode Football CIMZ getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Felippe Amaral hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Eliézer Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Marcinho das Neves seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcinho das Neves the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CE LAJEADENSE RS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcinho das Neves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Sérgio Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sacode Football CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavinho Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
