Daniel Igon made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Severino Huly sent off a good shot on target. Campeones del Mundo's Jonatan Ubendu got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melquiades Salvatore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Cutberto went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Lindo Trollo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Bernardino Txilar's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardino Txilar helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Sarracino during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Campeones del Mundo booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Sarracino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Campeones del Mundo's Lindo Trollo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Salvatore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Daniel Igon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Jaunti's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Campeones del Mundo's Christian Cutberto made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melquiades Salvatore was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Teobaldo Milian hit a great ball. Melquiades Salvatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lindo Trollo in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lindo Trollo to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Campeones del Mundo's Gaston Lucila slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Salvatore. That made the score 0-5 after 52 minutes of play. Melquiades Salvatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lindo Trollo in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Severino Huly hit a great ball. The long shot by Pedro Kauldi in the 64th minute really tested Melquiades Salvatore's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience was convinced that Christian Cutberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Salvatore was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Campeones del Mundo's Lindo Trollo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Salvatore. That made the score 0-6 after 68 minutes of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Christian Cutberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Cutberto kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 95 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Severino Huly made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Igon was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Campeones del Mundo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
