Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Edgardo Estebano made the kick off and thus started the match. After 4 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Dino. Amancio Isadore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Segundo Peyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martin Palermo F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATLETICO MENDOZA the free kick. Segundo Peyo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Martín Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Estevez in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Nestor Lertxun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adan Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Lertxun, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Justino Estevez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martín Izquierdo. Justino Estevez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Baldomiro Quintin hit a great ball. Martín Izquierdo made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Edgardo Estebano sent off a good shot on target. Nestor Lertxun took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adan Martinez. Adan Martinez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 38 minutes into the game, Justino Estevez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATLETICO MENDOZA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martin Palermo F.C. the free kick. Nestor Lertxun struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Adan Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martin Palermo F.C.. In the 46th minute, Baldomiro Quintin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
Martín Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Estebano in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Justino Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martín Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siro Cordeiro's late challenge caught a ATLETICO MENDOZA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Siro Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Siro Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes ATLETICO MENDOZA got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Estebano. Abelardo Corderun lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ATLETICO MENDOZA! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Lertxun in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adan Martinez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Martín Izquierdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Isadore in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amancio Isadore was slow to take the kick. During this time ATLETICO MENDOZA's players had a chance to rest. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Amancio Isadore was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Martín Izquierdo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Severo Satordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Martín Izquierdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Estevez in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to ATLETICO MENDOZA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Edgardo Estebano hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Ubaldo Sanson took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Adan Martinez to make any attempt to save it. Martín Izquierdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Isadore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Benjamin Izquierdo got a free kick in the 97th minute. The Martin Palermo F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
