Artemio Jaunti struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Adan Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Atlanta. Bonifacio Cresconio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adan Martinez having to make a save. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Estebano in the 39th minute of play. Teobaldo Milian charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teobaldo Milian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Anselmo Sarracino hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ATLETICO MENDOZA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
