Bonifacio Cresconio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robustiano Cordarrel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Artemio Jaunti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Fortinducto's Sixto Garcia got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Donato Nalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Nalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Cordarrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arnoldo Pirro 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Cresconio in the 13th minute of play forced Fortinducto's goalkeeper Robustiano Cordarrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Octavio Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Fortinducto's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Cresconio came free, but Robustiano Cordarrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Fortinducto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Sugoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Jerrold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Cordarrel having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Cresconio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robustiano Cordarrel. Fortinducto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bonifacio Cresconio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 31 played minutes Fortinducto got a freekick which was hit by Diego Munio. In the 32nd minute, Bonifacio Cresconio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robustiano Cordarrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Robustiano Cordarrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bonifacio Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Robustiano Cordarrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Cresconio in the 46th minute of play. If Artemio Jaunti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Club Atlético Atlanta were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arnoldo Pirro made the kick off in the second half. When Artemio Jaunti came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Jaunti couldn't finish the play. Arnoldo Pirro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Salvatore having to interfere. Severino Huly hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fortinducto getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Arnoldo Pirro hit a great ball. Arnoldo Pirro scored 2-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Salvatore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bonifacio Cresconio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Robustiano Cordarrel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robustiano Cordarrel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Cresconio in the 85th minute. When Bonifacio Cresconio came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Cresconio couldn't finish the play. After 90 minutes, Severino Huly made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Fortinducto's Robustiano Cordarrel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
