Adan Martinez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Edgardo Estebano got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of ATLETICO MENDOZA booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Ulizes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Lionel Messi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adan Martinez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the ATLETICO MENDOZA defense, Lionel Messi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adan Martinez. The ATLETICO MENDOZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adan Martinez should have stopped the shot. Lion Messi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Martinez having to interfere. The wind increased when Lionel Messi made the kick off in the second half. Adan Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Lizardi in the 52nd minute of the match. Adan Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Estevez kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Adan Martinez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Lizardi's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Ángel-Fabián Di María fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Martinez having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Lionel Messi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adan Martinez, 0-6. La Scaloneta made a substitution. Apolo Aurken replaced Lion Messi. In the 76th match minute, ATLETICO MENDOZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Isadore to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Adan Martinez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adan Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ángel-Fabián Di María in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel Messi came free, but Adan Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Aurken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Adan Martinez made a huge save. After 84 minutes of play, La Scaloneta's Lionel Messi made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adan Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lionel Messi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adan Martinez came out and tried to block the shot, but Lionel Messi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 90th minute. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Adan Martinez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save ATLETICO MENDOZA from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded La Scaloneta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ATLETICO MENDOZA.
