In the 14th minute, Jairo Rosario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elite Azulgrana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Isidro Lángara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Marcial Clemencin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Alfredo Carricaberry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Flores in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Clemencin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on Elite Azulgrana's corner Santiago Flores fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcial Clemencin quite easily take care of the ball. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Marcial Clemencin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Martin Palermo F.C. from getting a goal against them. Marcial Clemencin was a little too slow when Natalio Lekubegi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 4-0. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Isidro Lángara put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcial Clemencin. Santiago Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Rosario came free, but Marcial Clemencin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Flores got free with Marcial Clemencin in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a little luck, Elite Azulgrana's Gaston Gomez got control of the ball when Ubaldo Sanson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ubaldo Sanson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gaston Gomez. That made the score 5-1 in the 52 minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Lángara came free, but Marcial Clemencin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Elite Azulgrana got a corner. Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Santiago Flores ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 65 minutes Elite Azulgrana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ubaldo Sanson who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dionisio Ayala hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, Elite Azulgrana's Isidro Lángara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Clemencin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. In the 71st minute, Santiago Flores made a precise shot to the right of Marcial Clemencin. Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. In the 74th minute, Santiago Flores ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcial Clemencin was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. Dionisio Ayala kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Marcial Clemencin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Lángara in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Martin Palermo F.C.'s zone, Santiago Flores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Clemencin came out of the goal and Santiago Flores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Santiago Flores made a precise shot to the right of Marcial Clemencin. Martin Palermo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-1. In the 94th minute, Nestor Lertxun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Santiago Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Clemencin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elite Azulgrana walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
