With a little luck, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Serafin Ralondo got control of the ball when Zacarias Lauaxeta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zacarias Lauaxeta scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafin Ralondo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute, Zacarias Lauaxeta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Ralondo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Emilio Sugoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Serafin Ralondo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Campeones del Mundo's Grant Verga got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes ATLETICO MENDOZA got a freekick which was hit by Amador Bermudez. After 37 minutes ATLETICO MENDOZA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaston Lucila who took care of the corner kick. Jonatan Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusebio Afonso struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Serafin Ralondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campeones del Mundo. Zacarias Lauaxeta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Serafin Ralondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Lauaxeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zacarias Lauaxeta to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51st play minutes Zacarias Lauaxeta shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Serafin Ralondo and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 53rd match minute, Campeones del Mundo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Fraco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Lauaxeta in the 56th minute of play forced ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Serafin Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Claudio Eudoxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Igon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Serafin Ralondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Campeones del Mundo got a freekick which was hit by Grant Verga. In the 65th minute Zacarias Lauaxeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Ralondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Campeones del Mundo's Emilio Sugoi made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Ralondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Feliciano Gorbea's late challenge caught a ATLETICO MENDOZA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Gorbea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Campeones del Mundo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Gorbea to maneuver through the defense. After 71 minutes of play, Campeones del Mundo's Jonatan Ubendu made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Ralondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to ATLETICO MENDOZA getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Adolfo Garaile hit a great ball. Serafin Ralondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Lauaxeta in the 75th minute of the match. Serafin Ralondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Lauaxeta in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the ATLETICO MENDOZA defense, Eusebio Afonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Ralondo. The ATLETICO MENDOZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Ralondo should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Sugoi came free, but Serafin Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Lauaxeta in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafin Ralondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Campeones del Mundo had played much better football throughout.
