Kamer Özkaya started the match with the kick off. If Metod Mlynar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Slovakia's Henrich Slany proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Slovakia from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the game, Kubilay Hasret cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Henrich Slany was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ardahan Hekimbaşı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Metod Mlynar, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Metod Mlynar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Hulki Akçiçek got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ardahan Hekimbaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Metod Mlynar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Metod Mlynar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ardahan Hekimbaşı having to make a save. Ardahan Hekimbaşı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Metod Mlynar in the 37th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ardahan Hekimbaşı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Metod Mlynar in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hakkı Kenan Uygun during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu got a freekick which was hit by Hakkı Kenan Uygun. Kubilay Hasret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. Daniel Suchy kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Hakkı Kenan Uygun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Slovakia booed when MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdi Bro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Metod Mlynar struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ardahan Hekimbaşı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovakia. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
