Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Karsten Karlsen started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eero Viks. Överås IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eero Viks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Överås IK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. 15 minutes into the match, Karsten Karlsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karsten Karlsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 18th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eero Viks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Överås IK's Claes Axelsson got a free kick in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Karsten Karlsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Överås IK's Eero Viks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. Eero Viks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eero Viks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute of play forced Överås IK's goalkeeper Eero Viks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute of the match, Simon Odén tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eero Viks came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eero Viks having to interfere. Urban Jonsson kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Överås IK got a freekick which was hit by Jan Hydén. Wim Wilmes scored 1-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eero Viks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 74th minute of play forced Överås IK's goalkeeper Eero Viks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eero Viks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 77th minute. Överås IK's Marcus Bergsten was substituted for Patrick Engström. In the 79th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Överås IK's Eero Viks did a great save. 83 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eero Viks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Eero Viks however easily saved by the left post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eero Viks having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Bergsten in the 96th minute of play. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
