In the 11th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Mac Aron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Sporting Burgas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Ghițulescu to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Perpiñán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Cedro Pantoja reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Kahn. The goal made the score 1-0. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Vintilă Ghițulescu scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 2-0. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vintilă Ghițulescu went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Cedro Pantoja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Seve Sevilla with Vintilă Ghițulescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play.

In the 51st minute Ke Xiong Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Ghițulescu in the 53rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Fioriti replaced Vintilă Ghițulescu. Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mac Aron kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Sporting Burgas's Ke Xiong Chen in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Fioriti in the 95th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Burgas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
