Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucas Beltrán started the match with the kick off. Frank Sachs took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chico Pinho. Nova Era's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chico Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Beltrán got free with Tommy Kahn in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alpheios Logarakis in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Nova Era's Artur Tande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. Raphael Ceresso hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Lucas Beltrán had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Beltrán was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Lucas Beltrán left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Era fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 36th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Beltrán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Lucas Beltrán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Era's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Beltrán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Lucas Beltrán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 57th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Lucas Beltrán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Era's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Beltrán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Nova Era's Guaberto Rocio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Beltrán's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Lucas Beltrán blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. Chico Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 76th minute of play. Artur Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
