Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 40 minutes, Apa Banana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hermanö Oilers and the Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Apa Banana hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Sigfrido Auletta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oskar Haeger having to make a save. Oskar Haeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Hermanö Oilers's Fabian Ramond was substituted for Apa Banana. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Di Filippo to strike the kick off in the second half. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Stålman in the 97th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
