The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Nygaard got free with Vlaho Modrah in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Denmark booed when Kanarinci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlatko Jurela didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Kanarinci's Vlaho Modrah got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radoslav Ivanković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petar Krile in the 89th minute of play. A long shot from Lars Steen in the 91st minute of play was well struck, but Vlaho Modrah made a really good save at the right post. 92 minutes into the match, Kanarinci's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Vlaho Modrah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
