After 16 played minutes, Deportivo Mukenio's Cristian Vidican shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Mukenio reached it. Ramon Rius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cornelio Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Budín in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Cordearo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Luciano Pirro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Pirro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Gimenez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luciano Pirro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Miroslaw Jajecznica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelio Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Budín, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ismael Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Pirro in the 42nd minute of play. Domingo Austin's late challenge caught a Deportivo Mukenio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Eladio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Gimenez having to make a save. In the 91st match minute, Deportivo Mukenio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Chiper to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Txomin in the 92nd minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Ismael Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Mukenio's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
