Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Dervaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Udinese's corner, it was just that Belgium's Casper Claes managed to reach the ball for a save. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Alvaro Rotili made a huge save. After 89 minutes A.S. Udinese's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. Belgium were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
