After 23 played minutes the sword of Damocles got a freekick which was hit by Rıza Çalımbay. 24 minutes into the match, the sword of Damocles's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but 张旭傲 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. 张旭傲 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 张旭傲 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 汪霆邦, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 52 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but 张旭傲 made a huge save. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. the sword of Damocles's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with 张旭傲 in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but 张旭傲 firmly grabbed it by the left post.
