Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Mazzone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bruno Mazzone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 5th minute of play. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Squadra de Pippe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Lars Meesters managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruno Mazzone came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 17th minute of play forced Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper Bruno Mazzone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Squadra de Pippe's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Bruno Mazzone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Mazzone came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 27thth minute of the game Lars Meesters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Squadra de Pippe's Bruno Mazzone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Squadra de Pippe defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Mazzone. The Squadra de Pippe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Mazzone should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Netherlands fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! Squadra de Pippe made a substitution. Andrea Di Carlo replaced Filippo Gigli. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Squadra de Pippe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Andreoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Squadra de Pippe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-6.

A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. Andrea Di Carlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Squadra de Pippe's Tiberiu Balint was substituted for Javier Villarreal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Mazzone. That made the score 0-7 in the 66 minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, Squadra de Pippe's Andrea Di Carlo made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Squadra de Pippe made a substitution. Enzo Di Domenico replaced Victor Abaurre. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Squadra de Pippe's Andrea Di Carlo in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Bruno Mazzone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Di Carlo in the 85th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 89th minute. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bruno Mazzone quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Di Carlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Bruno Mazzone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
