Pavol Rybnický fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Lindqvist having to interfere. With a little luck, Rwanduz FC's Per Lindqvist got control of the ball when Ľubomír Smatana tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Rwanduz FC's Per Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ľubomír Smatana in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rwanduz FC's zone, Ľubomír Smatana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per Lindqvist came out of the goal and Ľubomír Smatana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniel Vičan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. UFC Pivnica's attentive Jozef Hecl managed to snatch the ball when Jimmie Strandberg made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. After having played for 61 minutes, Ľubomír Smatana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rwanduz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ľubomír Smatana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The UFC Pivnica fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when UFC Pivnica's Pavol Rybnický looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
